Dayton International Airport

September Passenger Traffic Reaches Nine Year Record High

Passenger enplanements at the Dayton International Airport increased 3.4% for the month of September - marking a nine year record high for September enplanements at the Airport. With this increase, the Airport reports that its year-to-date passenger enplanements are up 3.1% for 2008. This chart shows the nine year enplanement history for the month of September, beginning in calendar year 2000.

Although September back-to-school activities slow passenger traffic, the Dayton International Airport had 119,350 passengers that boarded aircraft. “We are delighted that more passengers continue to choose Dayton International Airport for their air travel needs,” said Iftikhar Ahmad, Airport Director. He added, “Because the Airport is ‘Easy To and Through,’ passengers have an additional reason to choose Dayton International Airport.”
